Sure am on the look out for a bike for the long tall piece of pelican poop, better known as 'The Eldest'.
However, Sorry Greg. If I lived in Melbourne or Sydney I'd be real interested but out here in the sticks, it's hard enough to get parts for the B12 in less than 2 weeks, let alone trying to get parts for an Import - plus two of the three bike shops in town have already told me they won't touch 'em.
-
Hey there Mickmel & Mickwag,
Speaking of parts - where and what sort of aftermarket cans are available for the B12 K7 in Aus?
-
Staintune do a good pipe, I think Laser do a pipe for the B12. Both of these have a small advantage over other pipes in that they are designed to 'convert' from ADR Compliant to 'For Race Use Only' and back again by simply undoing a screw and taking out part in the internals. No more having to go home - put the original pipes back on - getting the defect cleared, then going back home and taking them off again. When pulled over simply say
"Crap, sorry officer, that bloody thing keeps coming out, thank Christ I carry a spare one with me......"
Now, I don't have such a pipe (The Treasures bike takes precedance when it comes to go fast bits) but knowing how dumb some of the 'boys in blue' are they'd probably buy it....
Of course Yoshimura, and Akropavic, Remus etc etc. There's a pipe from the UK (I think) called ART that fits the B12. I haven't heard one on an in-line 4, but it sounds pretty wicked on an Aprilia Tuono

Hey Greg, have you still go the B250.
I know someone in Brisbane whose looking for a 250. I'll find out if he's still looking and let you know.
-
Yes still got it.... Still to get the safety cert - waiting till some serious interest.
I will try to get some pics (have to borrow a camera).
Thanks.
-
Got safety cert yesterday.
Still selling......... an offer anyone?
-
Sorry bloke, I couldn't get hold of the guy in Brisbane till yesterday, he ended up buying a CBR250
However, post pics - the eldest wants to have a look at it - I don't think he'll fit though - he's 6'3", I really think he's better of with a DR650, XT600, XR650, KLR650 etc etc.
-
Will get pics soon.
I am 6'4" and 105kg. It is a little small on long trips but ok for the daily commute and odd weekend.
-
So with a 6'3" 75kg teenager, plus is sports gear (Soccer goal keeper and referee) the B250 should be fine?
-
Hasn't been washed for a while due to water restrictions.
