Carnage in the South West Slopes
« on: April 16, 2007, 08:53:05 AM »
This last weekend was an absolute nightmare for motorcyclists in the Riverina/Southwest Slopes region.

In the space of 4 hours two motorcyclists were seriously injured and another killed.

A 23yr old was seriously injured when he had an accident on the Goat Ridge Road near Cabrumurra.

A 45yr old was taken to Tumut hospital and later airlifted to Canberra after 'falling off' on the link road (Gods Road) near the Batlow West turnoff.

A 54yr old was killed when he failed to make a turn on the Tumburrumba Road near Rosewood.

The last rider was part of a charity ride organised by a local (Wagga) bike shop and the Lions Club.

The names of the riders have not been released to the public.  Although the 54yr old was from Leeton.
