Australia has taken out five finals of the world shearing championships in the southern Queensland city of Toowoomba at the weekend.
A shearer from Willalooka, in South Australia's southeast, won the Golden Shears.
He also won the world teams event and the Australian Open championship for machine shearers.
It is the second time 31-year-old Shannon Warnest has taken out the event after last claiming the title in 2000.
But he said a previous victory did not make yesterday's final any easier.
"I got snagged up in the middle with three or four of my solid sheep," Mr Warnest said.
"I wanted to get out the way and they were a little bit more solid than I thought, so I really had to just knuckle in and sort of do the job on them and the last two or three sheep was me best sheep and I come home with a bit of steam."
He says he is looking forward to a few days break before heading back to work.
