Title: crappy couple of weeks
Post by: aussiebandit on April 26, 2007, 09:25:10 AM
Well, it's been a crappy couple of weeks for the Aussiebandit family.

1.  Car rego, bike rego, car insurance, 2 bike insurances.
2.  The Treasurer gets the sack.

Yep, the bstrds as her work decide that her services are no longer required.  Their reasoning - bad attitude, bad work ethic and unprofessional.

She gets the "Your employment has been terminated immediately" letter and talk, but does she leave straight away like any other person.  No she shows her true bad attitude, bad work ethic and her total lack of professionalism and hangs around for another half hour tiding her desk putting notes on everything so people know where things are up to... :taz:

This of course comes 3 weeks after speaking to the Dealer Principle about the Sales Managers attitude and behaviour.  She mentioned workplace behaviour, victimisation and bullying....... :annoy:  :annoy:

So if anyone wants to buy a new car I can tell you where NOT to buy it.....

OK, so after taking a couple swipes at it, I grok that y'all just spent a wad o' Benajamins to renew the paper on your rides, and then yo' lil' shorty got kicked to the curb by The Man for speakin her mind.  Dude, that's harsh!

So yeah, I get a kick out of reading your posts, even though I have a sometimes have a hard time translating them in my head.

Keep your head up and and your hearts open, something will turn up quickly.

Thanks guys, I really hope she does find a job shortly.  Even though it's only been a couple of weeks, one of which was school holidays, she's already doing stir crazy.

She's applied for a few jobs and continues to apply for others.

She's been tentively offered a job by one of the mechanics shops in town, but it's dependant on his 'business plan' working out.  Even at best it'll be 5 or 6 weeks before he'll know for sure....

I know how you feel Sven, I have the same problems decoding your american/canadian english at times.

Commiserations Mick, I know how you feel. Just happened to me as well but at least she got the letter etc. I was just told verbally and with no valid reason. Not to worry, my solicitor is on the case so unfair dismissal claim here we come. At least I've gotten in some quality riding time with the great weather lately. Now I just need some way to pay the bills and I'll be happy.Bloody bosses! Oh well, like Mick says, Karma will get them! :bomb:

Thanks Slo, but the next door to open is being a bit slow.  Unfortunately when you've been on 2 incomes for an extended period you tend to live up to that income, and you soon come crashing down on 1.  We figure that we will be fine for 1, maybe 2, months. But if something doesn't come along soon we will have to seriously consider downsizing our assets.  The first things to go will be 'luxury' items.  I just hope it doesn't come to this...

Well "The Treasurer" has picked up 6 days relief work at a car dealer in Wodonga - funnily enough doing the same job she got sacked from.

The guys down there just rang her out of the blue and basically said that she's the only person they trust without having to train someone to do the job properly.

So for 6 days she's get to spend about 3hrs in a car driving to and from Wodonga to work from 9:30 to 4:30.

Why did she say 'Yep I'll do it" - because they're paying her $21.00/hr and paying for petrol.....

Mick, do you have any good news to share yet?  I just happened to wander past this thread and wondered how things were down your way.

It rained last week

Other than that no.  The good woman keeps applying for jobs, but so far no luck.  Hopefully she'll pick something up soon.

Indeed it did, my ass now wobbles when I walk, skin is growing between my toes, and when I try to talk, every sentence starts with a quack.

But all jokes aside, it did settle the dust, but we need a hell of a lot more.

I know what bad bosses are like. Where I work we have 66% of staff injured at work (40% on active compo claims) and the boss is giving tus alternative duties that are menial and degrading that are not in accordance with medical certificate requirements. Their aim is to piss us all off so much we leave and that by their logic will solve their injury problem. Unfortunately we work in a highly specialized field and there is no other employer here in Adelaide to work for.

Can't even go out riding much as they are blaming my injury on the bike rather than work even though the company has now had 4 reports saying the equipment is at fault.

Makes you want to go POSTAL at times.

I didn't think that an employer could dictate what you did on your time off (unless ofcoarse it's illegal).  Or is it a case of having to be carefull about what you do because of the workers comp.

By the way, rained again today

You know, I never thought I'd be happy to ride in the rain :duh:

Well I'm of for surgery on Monday and will keep of the bike for probably 4 weeks and probably 3 months before I can plan a long ride or any dirt action.

Pretty pissed about it as at Christmas surgery was not needed but as my employer has continud to do the wrong thing now my arm is F(*&KD and I need surgery.

Looks like Monday will be wet and I won't have a chance to ride till then. One last fang before I get admitted at lunchtime.

Makes  you want to sue every f(*&KN one of the C(*TS in the management team PERSONALLY and make it very F(*KN personal back. Yes Iknow I have an anger management problem - not riding does that to me.

Hopefully this get my arm sorted and I can get on with getting a new job away from these arseholes.

Where I am working we have 63% of staff injured and 2/3 of those on active compo claims.
Just got home from the hospital and the surgeon is happy with how it went. Well see tommorrow when the drugs wear off. One of my co-workers was in for the same op on his second arm in 2 months as well and we got a good chance to chat (same sugeon).

The company is making life hard so we all leave and they think it will solve the injury rate - silica substances and ostriches come to mind.

They are also dumbing down the company be employing inexperienced staff as they force out the old hands - we are just waiting for our next fatal accident to occour as a result.

Pretty keen to leave before my proffesional reputation is sullied by others incompatence. At least I'll have a lot of time to start job hunting.

Friday its the REX's turn, oil and stuff and 2 new tyres 005 up front and a 009 on the back. Still don't know where the F where going, not that I really give a F, It just seems like forever since I went for a real ride. :annoy:

Surgery good. The only real problem is that now I have had my BAD arm done and it doesn't bother me much (just usual post op pain/itch etc) it has highlighted how bad my good arm is.

See the surgeon next week to get stitches out and sort out if we do the other one as well in 6 weeks time.

Off teh bikes for 4 months will not make Jan very happy.

Well, I've got say I'm quite bemused.

'The Treasurer' can't get a job in Wagga to save her live, but she's just got back from 3 weeks in Melbourne (Glen Waverly) doing some relief work at a dealer, again the same type of work she got sacked from in Wagga because "she is incompatent" and heads back down to Melbourne again next week to do 2 weeks relief work in Coburg - again doing the same job she got sacked from in Wagga.

And it appears there are a number of other dealers that are interested in getting her in to relieve when their 'stocky' is away.

So much for her being incompatent and 'upsetting' other dealers.  The local bstrd can go a f*(k himself :taz:

Now common decency on my behalf stops from from telling you exactly which dealer in Wagga it was that sacked her - suffice to say it's Japanesse and they sell the best selling medium/family car in Oz - nothing against the product - just the dealer

We are even talking about the possibility of moving down that way - I can get an internal transfer to the Laverton/Altona depot - but because it's my choice it will be at my expense and no payrise.

I'll let Janice know about the pics

OH what a feeling, ophs just couldn't help myself.
The Pic's yeah well, the dearly beloved, her indoors, the minister of the dollar and war. has told me to hold off on sending emails of photo's. For she is putting together a web page, OMG. So at next rally you see her with a digi camera run. you will end up on her web pages.

Which reminds me this years footy trip is on week after next. This is for her footy team, and the saturday night theme, is school uniform.  Hmmmmmm those web pages are starting to worry me. But one good thing its at troopers in the Grampions, and I get to ride there, bummer ha

Let Janice know to bring down the M750 seat, I have worded up the bloke who does the sheepskin covers. and she need to think colours.
