Just a wee bit wet over there guys.
houses moving down streets, with no mechanical aid.
well if ya call a shyte load of mud and water mechanical.
So I guess you guys have found another use for them wellington boots, other than chasing ya girlfriends down, ( sorry Baaarbrrra ) they might just keep ya feet dry. :stickpoke:
All jokes aside, hope all is well at your neck of the woods.
-
Likewise from me guys - I hope you're all alright.
Bloody wierd isn't it. They're getting shyte loads and we're in the 5th year of drought - it's getting to the stage here where I've forgotten what it's like to ride on wet roads.
-
Watch out, with the mudslides and earthquakes, the loonies from California will think it's a good place to live, and want to move there!
:duh:
Good luck to you, anyway!
-
I've forgotten what it's like to ride on wet roads.
Now ya hav blown it, gone a tempted fate, :duh:
Going back to the shed now and packing the wet weather gear

With so many kiwi's living here, New Zealand could do with some more loonies, just to even things back up :monkeymoon:
-
Mate, I didn't mean Melbourne, shyte it rains there all the bloody time. I'm surprised you don't carry half ya friggin waredrobe with you the amount of time the weather changes down there.
Oh........shyte.......you're right.......the Redbacks have a ride on Sunday......shyte.....where the hell are my wet weathers.......
-
Thanks for the thought Team. We are a little further North of the disaster area, and are OK.
AS for more loonies, the IRE/UK rugby team are arriving soon with their band of followers(aka Loonies) so we'll be complete for a month or two
BTW, are you going for the Wannabies or the Crusifiers this weekend in the Super 12 final?
-
Well, considering where I live and the fact I now know the result, I suppose I should go the Wannabies, but to be honest, I'm Rules and Soccer fan so couldn't really give a toss.
I will watch the Final though - I love watching any exciting game - that's why I don't watch American Woose (Sorry Foot????), lets go to another effing break, Ball.
-
Gotcha Mick - and don't forget they have two teams in one so they all get a good rest
BTW how is my old team Fitzroy doing this season?
And as for the Banana benders :monkeymoon: sliding in - they should not be involved in `the' Southern Sport
-
Well, I hate to tell you this.....I hope you've got a hanky ready......Fitzroy doesn't exist anymore. They joined with Brisbane Bears to become the Brisbane Lions....Oh and don't mention this in front of B6Mick, I can't stand to see a grown man cry.
Oh, I nearly forgot.......You'll never guess........never in a million years....it rained today...or at least I think it was rain....there was wet stuff falling from the sky and roads were wet and slippery.
-
You just ruined my night - who am I going to follow this season??
How about Collingwood?
We get the Saturday rules game from the cricket ground (that will confuse the septics) on Prime Sport. Prime TV in NZ is owned by channel 9 so we get a fair bit of good stuff free to air. They also have a lot of crap like Cath & Kim, Treasure Island, etc, etc
-
Don't tell me you're a Collingwood supporter, I always knew Kiwi's weren't right in the head. Sheep shagging I can except, hating the French is accepted behaviour, playing the game that's played in heaven is only right and good, but supporting Collingwood :duh:
I, like most Victorians (I lived there most of early life), support 2 teams -our own and whoever is playing Collingwood.
-
Well, that does it Mick. If being a Collingwood supporter gets people wound up, then they are for me
-
The biggest problem for me is living in NSW - particularly tonight - State of Origin - who gives a rats - As you can probably guess I'm not a fan of the Thugby League, too much bum sniffing and thumbs up the rear for my liking.
Anyway, the Vics invented State of Origin so we could beat the Crow Eaters and Sandgropers.
-
I always wondered what the SA mob were labelled as, Crow eaters - is that right?
-
Yep, SA is Crow Eater country.
It's also well known for it's totally disgusting Beer - strange considering some of the best wines in the world come from there.
-
As Luke Skywalker said to his Dad `My education is incomplete'.
I know about the Banana Benders, Cane Toads, Sandgropers and now the Crow Eaters, but enlighten me on the NT personel and the Vics
-
Not sure on the Territory guys, but Victorians are usually referred to as Mexicans, and as for the inhabitants of that amusingly shaped Island south of Victoria I'm not really sure what they're called either. I know they're the butt of a lot of jokes. Similar to the southerners in Yanky Land. You know "My wife is my sisters mother"
Oh..while I remember I was reading Two Wheels and Smith (one of the columnists) referred to Pommy Land as ....."The land of the long white whinge" - which brought more than just a smile to my dial.
-
And mine too Mick.
Hows the weather today - more rain uh!
-
No, no more rain - just getting colder. We had 1 and a bit days of drizzle and that's it. I tell you, it's getting pretty bad. I think the worst thing is the Government, both state and Federal, seem more concerned with sending dollars overseas than with helping our farmers.
-

Here Here.
I would have thought it more prudent for goverments of this fine, but seemingly misguilded country to look after its own backyard before, playing goodie twoshoes, to other countries, whom in the past have shown nothing short of total disregard for us and ours.
End Rant, as I fall of me soapbox.
Hey its wet down here, like drrrr :duh:
-
There was some dick on late night radio, obviously has never been out of Sydney, said
Farmers get enough already........anyway they don't pay Tax so why should us tax payers give them anything
:duh:
Ofcourse, SHE was right, some farmers haven't paid income tax for a couple of years. You've got to have an income to pay income tax.
-
The city jet setters really don't have a lot of nouse whe it comes to the real economy, but I suppose a Latte is the most important thing in their little world
We country folk are the backbone of Aus & NZ whatever you say. As an example 60% of this shakey Isles income (if not more) is generated from farmlands, SO
FO Townies
-
And 90% of that is sheep, or sheep shagging
Sorry couldn't resist.......
-
Hey Marty...I like Latte..oh and i don't think i have got nouse??
oh shit----i sometimes imagine i'm a jet setter, and and ,oh my i could also be a----a-a-aa townee.
WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN MARTY? ? ? ?
slo coach
-
Do you live in the Southern Zones Sloey??
-
to the east----into the rising sun, opposite the panmure yacht and boating club,on the Ho Che Ming highway.Iv'e actually never had a Latte ln my life, and i know what you mean, but i do enjoy a cup of tea in a cafe bar when out on the bike on a sunday.Do you think its anything to worry about when we sit down for a cuppa thje cafe bars seem to empty out,??
slo coach
-
You want to see the looks that are bandied around in the cafes and eating places that the Ulyssess mob go to.
Can you imagine siting down at a nice comfortable place when a bunch of 50+ bikers (sometimes up to 25 riders + pillions) moves in and takes up the whole joint?
That's when you see a few move out eh!
