Title: Perfect Bike.
Post by: SickK5Bandit1200s on April 11, 2005, 05:22:34 AM
Hey all!! hows it going.. Just signed up to the board and thought i'd introduce myself. My name is Chad and i am from Perth Western Australia However i Moved to Melbourne bout a year ago and have been here ever since.I Got my bike licence in 03 and my first bike was a 2000 GSF 250v Bandit.  I bought it for convinience as i used to work in the goldfields bout 600km out of perth. It was a cheap and fun form of transport and i really enjoyed the long rides.I was never in a rush to get my open licence.I turned 21 in march of this year and decided to buy myself a new bike.Naturally i chose a bandit 1200. I loved the 250 and so decided to stick with the Bandit family.I have had my 05 Bandit 1200s for about 4 weeks now and have already clocked up over 4000km on it. I love it!!! It has a very unique presence on the road and is a joy to ride.
The fact that it has such a large following is not surprising. I look forward to getting to know other bandit owners and sharing the ups and downs of owning this amazing machine....... :blahblah:

G'day and welcome :welcome:

You've bought well.  Normally I wouldn't recommend people going for a litre plus bike straight from a 250, but given that you're a little bit gentle with the right hand plus the fact you've put some K's on it already you should be right .  I know the first time I got a bit heavy handed with the B12 I had to go home and change the undies. :duh:  I'd never ridden a bike so willing to be on one wheel before.

Thanx guys. Yeah i agree that jumping from a 249cc to a 1157cc is a big jump however it suits my needs to a T. It makes a good tourer, goes quick and turns heads.   And yeah. If theres anyone around my area that want's to go for a cruise sometime i'm up for it. :beers:
