Hey aussiebandit,is this a wind up?

each to their own,but a trailer on a Bandit??I'm not mentioning that to any of my kids,A 12OOBANDIT is an aggressive alternative to a sports bike .Any thought of putting a trailer behind the bandit should be disregarded IMMEDIATLY.i suspect you have been mingling with USELES,,sorry ULLSYLES riders as of lately.Howerever it would be O.K to tow one behind a GOLDWING for example .but then we would miss your interesting posts as you would be on the HONDA site.IFyou promise not to mention it again we will pretend you never said it,as i'm sure wheen you are getting your knee on the road the trailer ain't going to handle properly. No I haven't been mingling with the Ulysess mob, although they do get good discounts on things like insurance and spare parts.

It's acutally a vain attempt to get the Treasurer and ankle biters (although one of the ankle biters is 6'3") a bit more enthused about touring this wide brown land of ours.

If I could afford it I'd have 4 bikes - the B12, a 'wing, a Harley and a RS125.

The B12 for obvious reasons
The 'Wing for touring
The Harley for the cafe latte thing
The RS125 for the hills.

Then again the B12 does all that now, all I need is the trailer and a set of Highway Pegs.

Hey nothing against the Ulysees Marty. Come August this year I can become a Junior Member and probably will.....can't get enough riding.

A lot of riders in sunny downtown Wagga Wagga belong to at least two of the three active road based clubs and there are a few who belong to all three and the dirt bike mob as well. Mind you there's shyte loads that don't belong to any club.

we often do that state highway 16 from the northwestern through helensville to wellsford, but we are on the road by 6 sunday mornings to miss the traffic.do you tow a trailer behind your bike?

Geez Slo Coach, do you wet the bed or something. I couldn't rouse myself at that hour for anything (and I mean anything) at my age.

The only thing that trails behind my B12 is my Canadian mate on his new GSX750F and a couple of guys on their GS1200SS's. My other mate Brett has a B12 and we do the SH16 run now and then. We went up to Wellsford for a pie last Sat but that run was mainly to scrub in my new Azaros. Needless to say they are well bedded in now so back to real riding

If you ever get the urge to drop in on your way past, I'm the first driveway on the left (heading North) after Rimmer road. A big white sign says our place is a Garden Centre (of sorts). Where is your place?

Where I live in Virginia Beach, VA 6AM Sunday morning is the best time to ride. All the drunks are still in bed. And the crazy drivers are in church. By 11AM it’s time to head for the mountains and get the hell out of the city or someone will try and run you down because .the drunks are looking for bloody Mary’s and the crazy drivers are getting out of church

That's where I'm lucky, I'm already in the country only 1hr or so from the Mountains, the real threat on these roads on a Sunday is livestock. But hit the roads much before 8am and you run the risk of hitting wildlife.

I guess I'm the lucky one. We're at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges so in ten minutes I'm either on the freeway into the city [ takes 40 minutes all up] or leaned over at some sphincter puckering angle screaming "yee-ha!!" into my helmet. My darling number one pillion is having one of those party things at home tomorrow so the guys are all bringing their other halves on the bikes and while they look at Tupperware or something we can go play for a couple of hours. Just have to keep an eye open for unmarked Beemers with Plod on board!

The last time I was in the Dandenongs was in 1975 . Wasn't a tupperware party though, it was a mushroom party.

hey AUSSIE BANDIT ,you gave me a headache the other day when you listed your choice of bikes as mates of mine reckon we all nead 2 or 3 so i started to make a list in my head of my choices and by the time i got to about 15 i gave the idea away.a mate of mine got a 1200gsf s with full fairing hugger scorpion----a640ktmwhich he has taken up through ALICESPRINGS and im sure the simpson desert on a gps---and a kawasaki klx200 for the beaches out where marty lives,butim rapt to have my bike after 30 years without one anf it might not be the best looking out there its perfect and does everything i ask and loves meeting sports bikes on the open road,in fact amongst the regulars its the only non sports bike.

Hi Marty,
If you can remember the Dandenongs from 1975 you must not have really been there! As for the law, they now have a couple of unmarked k1200rs bm's and they follow you ,record your riding with a fairing mounted video camera while they radio ahead to a patrol who pulls you over and books you for speeding, crossing double whites Etc.. You can't argue coz they've got you on film. This is all for your own good of course as since your a motorcyclist you can't possibly know that if you go over 60 you will die!
