What a beaut part of the country...spent 3 weeks in and arounr Perth ,from Augusta to Monkey Mia..and i would have liked to have taken the bike ,but i think those roads are probably for Harleys, now that i have seen them.Doesnt seem to be many bkes on the road out there, the first 2500kms i counted 6 bikes only, with an 1100 82 katana and an early gpz 900 fulley loaded for the around aussie trip.on one 480 km section ther were 2 big name places on the map and when we finally got to them they were only petrol stations .and the last 170 kms into Monkey Mia tyhe only things out ther were dead kangeroos on the road, and Emus running in front of the car. made it to the BARBAGALLO raceway last sunday and saw theState roadracing championships, great day with not a cloud in the sky.there were loads of immaculatley prepared bikes there.there was an entry level class there called Clubman class, which caught my eye, pretty much standard bikes, and after watching closley,i decided i might be as fast as the slowest rider,a girl,if i was having a good day.lucky if therewere 300 spectators there, but a neat place with the track being about 12 kms out of town and the off road track beside it and the go cart track beside that.i decided to do a round aussie trip it would need a lot more planning than i first thought as there are lots of places out west Australia that seriously look like the surface of the moon, like ive said before .you hardly see a suzuki, lots of r1s and kwakas.Perth looks a good place, but its definitly a different part of the world,,seems conservitive with shopping hous and casual turning up to work as they would rather go for a surf ,no graffiti, and the police force that don't appear to put up with any shit on what i migt think minor things, saw the meanist exhaust on an 06 suzuki 1000,a carbon pipe ,beautifully made in Perth brand name..AUSSIE RACING cheers slo
