goodbye and bloody good riddens to dial up at long last.
Yes after all these years, of being told no, your to far away from the exchange, for adsl or broadband. We finally have broadband and wow what a difference it is. Downloads in minutes instead of days, how the hell did we cope. Better still, the minister don't need to get offline so I can spend an our on the net, even the father in law can get in on the act. woohoo. Yes there is a down side, BIGPOND, oh well some shyte got be better than no shyte.

Aussie I'll send thru the new email address as soon as I can be bothered setting it all up :duh:

:congrats: I remember how happy I was to give dial-up the boot when cable finally made it out to the far end of my little island... heck, I even kicked the phone co. to the curb and went to VOIP phone.
Now my phone/internet bill is LOWER than it was with dialup! :bigok:
And I can call anywhere in North America & Western Europe with no long distance charges.   :bandit:
(Real handy when I was in France and Mama was still @ home.)

Got the email, saved it to my address book..

When we first went Broadband I put a 256meg limit on it.  We never came close to that on Dial Up.  Within 2 months I upgraded to unlimited downloads.  First month we used nearly 500meg, 2nd month we were over 700meg.....

Why, because it's so damn quick you just don't give it another thougt, that is until Sludgepond sends you the bill.
