I made it home with out any issues other than being a  cold ride. My last day before leaving BRMC I got all my warm gear soaked. Yes even my boots.
Now I did have a little issue the Wednesday after everyone left. Did I mention I  took the entire week after the rally off  . Monday when I went over of the dragon and only got one run in before the rain. So when I went back Wednesday and it was already raining a bit I wasn't going to let it stop me. I made through a few runs before the one where I gave a little too much gas coming out of the corner. The back end kicked out pivoting on the front tire for  nice 270 degree spin. After the spin the bike kicked me off and  I rolled down the road. I got lucky though no on was behind me and I actually got the bike picked up and off the road before anyone came by. I got real lucky not much damage on the bike and only a hole in my suits pants.

Even with dumping my bike I had a blast,  can't wait to do it again.... the rally... not the dumping my bike.

Yep I was the tent camper. I stayed there all next week and it didn't get much warmer. I did get lucky with the rain and only got soaked that last day though. All told with the ride down and back 4000 miles in 11 days. Since I got back the bike is still sitting there and I haven't ridden it yet. I plan to make to every rally from now on. It was a blast.

Dude! You have to be an example for all!!!! What a hardy attitude you have. I will never complain about a little blue ridge snow, with FL riding gear again! Hope to see ya next time. I still think i'll spring for a cabin ( with heat next time) :beers:  :beers:    :bigok:

:congrats:  I enjoyed the rally even with a square and worn out front tire on the Firebolt.  We stayed over at Davidson River until Tuesday, rode or Miata'd to Mt. Mitchell, White Water Falls, Moose Cafe, Carl Sanburg House, a few more times over and back on 178, down the Ridge to Cherokee and back; then MH'd to Ellijay, GA.  Made a run from there to Blairsville, TWO [one camper and nothing going on!], Dahlonega and back; pulled out and  camped in Auburn, AL the 19th, and rolled on home the 20th.  BTW, Asheville Die Cast [west on 191 from the Ridge toward the Farmers Mkt and Moose Cafe] has a fair collection of bike models [some are even NOT Harleys] if anyone is interested in such things.  Had a great time even the snow on the Ridge [ran into it again late on the 15th - this time coming down!], which I miss even more as it has been in the 90's most every day since!!  Hope to make it next year maybe with the Scoot.
