They're doing road construction in front of the campground.
The usual sign is down, and they have it replaced with a small 'Motorcycle Campground' on the shoulder.

Here's a bad picture I took.
The sign is circled in yellow, and is hard to see.

The picture is taken facing west on 58.

If you're leaving Meadows of Dan, heading west on 58, the campground is on the south side, about a mile from town.
You'll drop down a hill......go up another short rise, and it's on the left.
It is hard to find if you haven't been there before.

If you're heading east on 58, all I can tell you is, if you reach town or the BRP overpass, you've gone too far!

From the BRP, exit at 58 west toward Hillsville, and go about a mile.

I may see if I can put the 'Boss Rally' banner out front somewhere, so it's easier to find...

Pete - the sign looks like it stands out pretty well with that big yellow circle around it. How could you miss that????

Rob you idiot. Pete said they are doing road construction in front of the campground. Chances are they will take down the yellow circle and arrow to get the equipment by.

More likely, they'll move the sign, and forget to put the yellow circle back up.

You'll probably find the yellow circle propped up against an orange barrel. OR....those crazy, local, mountain teen-agers will move the yellow circle, and put it somwhere else.

Or....some durn Harley rider will think it looks cool, put the yellow circle on a chain around his neck, and start a new fashion trend.

Who knows?

Just remember, 'Rally Rules', the first person who says they had trouble finding the place, has to buy me a beer!

Anyone who passes the entrance more than twice, without seeing it.....
just keep on going!

It is hard to find.
You don't see much of the campground from the road, and the tiny sign doesn't help.

As a Harley guy I must protest the inference that Harley people are clueless when it comes to fashion. I am going to steal that yellow circle have it chromed and put on my Springer. You Bandit guys lack imagination.

It's a good thing I didn't mention that I rode right by it monday. I guess I owe you a beer pete. Then I realized I had went to far, turned around and rode very slowly and barely did see the sign. All the orange barrels take all the attention away from the brown sign, yellow circle & arrow

Twice is OK, Josh.........
It will be hard to spot at night if anybody is coming in after dark.
I've been there before, and almost missed it in daytime.

I'm just picturing somebody wandering in at 0200.............
"Dang, I've been up and down this road 50 times since 9 PM. Nobody could tell me where this place is!"

I think I will put the banner out on the road, somewhere.
It ought to be safe from the 'Harley' guys, since it says "Suzuki' on it......

seriously, I know how frustrating it is to be tired, and looking for someplace that you KNOW is there, but danged if you can find it!!!!!!!

Probably most stores in town know where it's at.
Meadows of Dan is small. There's a couple of general stores/gas stations and restaurants in a couple of block area. If you have trouble finding the place, you may hit town and look for bikes parked somewhere.
The pizza place most of us will probably eat at some point is EAST of town, you kind of drop down a hill, and there's a little strip mall type place with a CAROUSEL out front, and some resort offices.
It's called Christophers Pizza. Worth checking if you pass through around dinner time.
(OK pizza, inexpensive, live bluegrass on weekends.)

Hey Pete, I regret to inform you that someone did steal your yellow circle around the sign! Think I may have spotted it headed south on Rt. 321 around a V-twin guys neck.

Dammit. Figured it would be a 'v-twin' rider. It's my fault. I shouldn't have painted it such a 'loud' yellow!

Scoot, I guess I could have painted it orange and black, but we couldn't get into the entrance to the campground due to the masses of Harley riders gathered around it, worshipping it........
