Pirelli North America is offering "free" (you pay $25 for shipping) 120/70ZR17 tires to people who buy a new Strada rear in 160, 170, 180 or 190 widths.

Dang, thats a sweet deal. Are they any good? I had a set of their tires on a car one time and they were crap. Do you use them Paul?
-
I haven't used them, but from what everyone says, they're essentially the same tire as a Metzeler Z6 with a slightly different tread pattern. Pirelli owns Metzeler, so it makes sense. The Z6 & Strada get rave reviews from users, but for some reason the Strada doesn't seem to be as popular - except for when they're running the free tire deal (they did it last year, too).
-
I just did the Pirelli tire deal, waiting to get mine now. I don't need tires yet, since I have 3K on the stock tires now. However at some point this year, I will need them; so why not try this deal. The funny thing is I was deciding between the Pirelli Strada EMS and Michelin Pilot Roads. Guess I will try the Stradas. The on-line registration was pretty easy to do, and there is a counter on the website indicating how many front tires are left to give away. I will let you guys now when I get the front tire.

Got my tire yesterday. Papers in the mail tomorrow.

Did my online stuff and will mail it tomorrow.
I just bought a set of Pirelli Strada's last nov., but some jack@ss cut my front tire a few weeks back.
I got one of the softer Pirelli's off the rack in my size as a replacement, works great.
-
Hey how long did it take to get the front tire?

So how much is everone paying for your rears. I just got quoted $180 mounted for a 180. Is this good or bad?
-
I paid $135.00 rear shipped. Still have to have it mounted. I just received the front tire on Tues. About two weeks after I mailed in the paperwork.
-
I payed $112.95 and $20.00 to mount.
Oh...mine is a 160.
-
I will shop around.. seems high to me, but I am new to street bikes.

Ah, but you have socialized medicine! Woo hoo!
And it works so well.
I just can't figure out why there's so many cars with BC plates in the parking lots of WA clinics & hospitals.

Just because they don't write a check at the doctor's office, doesn't mean their health care is free or cheap! Just ask a Canadian about their taxes...
