i have a shock from a busa 06 i think. my question is do i need the dog bones from a busa too? 1st gen 1200 btw

No, they won't work.  Stock bandit bones will raise the back 1", but otherwise work perfectly.

The Busa shock is going to be harder to install on a 1G that a 2G and will raise the tail more.
