hi i just got a bandit 1996 s600 , i need you experts to help me find some mods
lower farings , mirrors more sprortier and i want sportier handelbars,
has anyone installed lower plastics on there bandit?
if so where did you get them
thanks

Lockhart-Phillips makes a set of lowers for your bike - Click here. (http://www.lockhartphillipsusa.com/rs/showProduct.cgi?prodID=2392)
(Appears they're only available in the red color of '98-'99 B6's though... but they're paintable.)

The bars are typical 7/8" diameter and there's tons of choices out there, just find a bend you like. A simple "bent drag bar" is cheap (~$20-30) and usually easy to find. Suburban Machinery (http://www.suburban-machinery.com/sv650.htm) makes bars that several here really seem to like, but they're pricey ($145-165), IMHO.
I'll let other 1G B6/12 owners make mirror recommendations.

will the 98-99 fit the 96 frame? its the same mounting ? also does anyone have these installed? the picture on lockhart phillips is not full shot. thanks for all your help
-
Yes, the only difference between '96-'99 is the colors they came in.

Found some pics of the Lockhart Lowers on various 1G B12's - strangely enough, all in Candy Academy Maroon...
These were a little too big to post, so click the links to see 'em.

There is a guy who pops in from time to time with a teal B6 with this fairing, too, but I haven't seen him post in quite a while.

hey thanks, alot of angles pics. that helps me tons..
does anyone else think that looks good? what do you perfer?
-
I think it looks pretty good, but prefer the naked (well, half naked) look...and the protection, however limited, of my case guards.
-
I think it gives it more of a Sport-Tourer look - which is fine by me.
Would probably add function to cold and/or wet weather riding.

how you doin' paul?

to tell you the truth, i'm tired of the faired look.
it looked nice first few months, but i think i like streetfighters now.
you just need to put a lot of work to get em to look really striking.
look at this one, its nuts.

That's who I was thinking of... but you've got a new name.
I love the streetfighter look... I just enjoy the wind protection of my fairing too much to get rid of it, so I'll just enjoy looking at other people's work.

I cant log in with my old account, so I made a new one.
I do enjoy the windbreaking power of the windshield myself hehe
Even though I have a small one with the first generation b6, but I guess I'm a lil dude, works just fine with me.
The thing with the lockhart farings is, its fiberglass, so if you crash or just even drop it on its side it cracks like hard plastics, not like polyurethane which is more flexible and softer, but fiberglass is easier to fix. Just resin and cloth would be good enough.
