Title: Backrest solution
Post by: kvanderstel on July 16, 2010, 04:02:00 PM
I have a 1st gen 1200S and it has the stock seat and luggage rack.  Anyone have any ideas about a backrest for the passenger?  I see one over at holeshot, but only for later Bandits.

If you get a Corbin seat, you can use one of their backrests.  Other than that, you'll probably have to make something up.

If you have a luggage rack you ought to be able to use one of the backrests Givi sells for scooters.
I spotted the Givi TB531 (http://forum.concours.org/index.php?topic=47788.0) (for 2007-up Suzuki Burgman 400) or the Givi TB19 (http://forum.concours.org/index.php?topic=74193.0) (For 2001-up Honda Silverwing 600) in use on luggage racks in another forum.

Dang, that's twice I've done that in the last two week.  Maybe it's oldtimers.  Thand Red!, Sorry kvanderstel.
