Title: Buell flyscreen - can't find good installed pic
Post by: davidk on April 12, 2006, 02:21:44 PM
I currently have a naked dual headlighted 98 bandit-o 600 :bandit:  . I can search in here and find where everyone mentions stacking on a buell flyscreen on their bandit but I can't find any really good pictures of a bandit equiped with one. It'd be cool if someone could post an up close pic such as where the flyscreen takes up 25% of the picture so you can really see it. David K out. :bandit:

Holeshot's (http://www.holeshot.com/holeshot/hs_flyscreen.shtml) is the same size/shape.  There are some decent pics of it in the link above.

Here's an old pic of my bike with the HS screen.

Sonofa....

I don't have any decent pics of my new set-up yet.  Check this (http://www.maximum-suzuki.com/ibf/index.php?act=ST&f=9&t=35454) thread over at M-S (if you're a member there).  Josh is a member here, too.  Here is one of the many pics from that thread:

Hey, thanks for those pics. Thats basically what I wanted to see. If you do have a pic of your new setup that would be appreciated too. I wanted to know how the screen looked because I think my bike is feeling too naked up front. Davidk out. :thanks:

All I have is a larger version of my Avatar.  I think I need to move my lights and screen down a bit.  It's a work in progress...

Yeah, your bike looks really good, but I'd move the lites down a little (not that it looks bad now) But maybe a inch to inch and a half lower.

If you duck down behind this small screen does it actually block any air or is the air just sucked through the lights. I like my naked setup for during the summer time as Texas is really hot but sometimes you just really need to duck behind something. What're your thoughts on this and how easy is it really to install. Like 2 hours? Thanks for the reply , David Out.

I was actually working on moving the lights down last night.  Really fun since I have the screen mounted to the underside of the dash lights and it doesn't move with the head lights.  More bending of brackets. :duh:

I've never ridden w/out a fly screen of some sort so it's hard for me to judge it's effectiveness.  It does seem that if I really get down on the tank, I can get out of the blast.

I think the screen really doesn't block that much wind.  YES, it does help a little with helmet turbulence, but the rest of the bike is "unfaired", so as far as aerodynamic help.  Fugeddaboudit.

I just like the way the bike looks with the windscreen, and I have had the Holeshot single light setup, and the buell dual light setup.

I have piccs over in the modification threads if your interested.
