Can anyone help me with a bit of info?
I am on the lookout for a 600 Bandit and I like the unfared versions, but there don't seem to be many of them around. I of buying a fared version and then converting it over with the twin headlight kit from Banditmania. They supply the indicators, brackets, headlights and wiring loom. Is there anything else I would need to add/modify?

The 1G (first body style) 600 (1999-back) will be much easier to convert since the clocks on those are mounted to the upper triple and the mirrors already mount on the bars - compared to the newer ones that have their clocks mounted in the fairing and the mirrors are mounted on it, too. You can convert a 2G bike, but you'll need to overcome those issues.
-
If you end up getting a faired Bandit and want to convert it over let me know, I have an '03 1200 non-faired Bandit and I would love to swap someone for the fairing. Don't worry we can get it to work, I do a lot of custom work with cars and have just gotten into the bike scene recently, so modifications would just make the project more interesting.

Wasn't there someone on the old board that bought his wife a B6 and did a bunch of cool mods to it including going naked. I think he ended up listing it for sale on the new board, before the crash. I was just looking around over on ezboard and couldn't find the thread, though.

You boys could even swap the clocks, but the mileage on the odometer might be an issue for one of you if there's a big difference. I suppose the Brit bike would be in Km/hr anyway.
I thought very seriously about swapping with a Nekkid owner, but I'd miss the fairing.
FWIW, Andy, there's a 1G B6N here in Knoxville for sale at a local H-D dealership. It's red. Shipping it there will kill you, however. :duh:
Brad, where are you located, in case I change my mind (B6 fairing will work on a B12).

I'm in Kings Bay, GA. About 45 min North of Jacksonville, FL. Let me know.

I don't think so... pretty sure they're still holding out with the USA & miles instead of kilometers.

See if you can find one of our members, "Bobcat." We've ridden with him a couple of times. The first time we rode together on the "Acme, WA" run, he rode a naked streetfighter-ized 600, bug eyes and all.

Bobcat's old B6 (he's on a B12 now) was a 1G. His bugeyes were Buell parts.
