I know this is an old thread but I found it searching for something.

I'm running 11.56s at 117mph. More consistantly in the 11.6-11.7s range though.

2003 GSF1200S w/ a D&D can.

I tell you one thing, this bike is damn consistant down the track.

The 7" slick will fit the stock rim. I have the M/T slick, it is about an inch taller than the stock tire, but if you run a strut instead of the shock, you will not have any problem.
Schnitz Racing, have them for $150. U.S.
Follow the link to my Web Site, and look at the picture, Bobs Bandit 1246, and you will see the bike as it was set up with the slick.
If I didn't have a Suzuki, I would have a Kawasaki

Was your rim 5.5 inch ?

I have had an old (now) 8.5" Goodyear slick on a stock rim 5.5"
"I have never ridden a stock Bandit on the track, but the MPH looks a little low to me. As for the ET"
I run 11.086 @ 122 on my Stock Bandit (Yosh RS1 only mod)
No strap and 30 psi in tires, should get into the 10's with strap and 14 psi
and I am 155 lbs in full leathers
I run 9.4 @ 142 with the Katana (pic on the left) with 14/54
Bandit cams and gearing just don't have any top end to them in the ¼
Stock Busa will do 10.20 @ 150 with a so so rider in the ¼

Hi
Well our new Drag racing season has started over here in NZ and I am again trying to win the Mod Bike points series again.
I have ridden my 2004 GS1200SS over 2500 k's during the last two weekends to compete in the first two meetings.
I won both our Southern Nationals meeting and a provincial points meeting.
A great start to my points series.
Thanks
Richard

Hi

Meant to do a few meets this year, but all I managed was one practice day. And the whole day there was light snow (just light dust like stuff, enough to make it pretty cold thouhg). Managed 11.44 @ 129mph.

Did three weekends playing around doing top speed runs. With a best of 181.8mph (rather flattering tail wind that day).

This is on an unfaired Bandit.

All the best

Keith

Here a pic of my nakid Bandit. It ran 9.73 @139 last weekend with a mild 1216 and a crapy 1.64 60'. Its a solid 9.50 ride. The swingarm set-up is for sale

I use to run 9.60s on my 89 GSXR 1216, with stock cams and carbs with jet kit, but that was 5 years and 50 Lbs. ago.
I will be 60 years old next summer, and I weight 240, I cand lose weight, but I can't do anything about the years :beers:

Now its down to a 13.48@ 96.
I added a wheelie bar and a 2 step this past winter to get more consistant reactions times they are a respecable .513 to a .523 now and in the last race of the season in 3rd round of elems I cut the dreaded .4999 red light !!!!!!!

Hi
Well yet another Drag racing season has finished here in NZ.I won our NZDRA Point Championship for the second year in a row.But I red lit out in the first round of the NZ Nationals so I missed out winning the NZ Nationals again.
Here a pic of me on the GS1200SS at the Nats.

I also gave my Yamaha RD400 Drag bike a run.It didn't go to well be it was a good test of the frame I made.

Thanks
Richard

Well after many a year of standing back saying "why"
And at long last being able to fit into the one piece riding suit, the ZRX, is about to be shown the pretty lights.
Not too sure on how I'll go, in fact i'm pretty sure I'll do pooh. I'll take the B6 too, reckon I'll cut times not much worse on the B6 than the ZRX. I still carn't reliably get the clutch happening like I can with the good old cable clutch on the B6. That I can time and time again dial up 10 and hold it till the clutch is fully engaged. The ZRX however to either bogging down or throwning the front skyward. maybe 1 in 100 it will be right. But stuff it, it's track time or loss of license time. I'm down to my last 3 points, so time to play like a tossa where I aint gonna loss any more points. :taz:

Been ready for 2 weeks, wouldn't ya know it each and every friday afternoon the races are cancelled again, after 10 years of drought, its still bloody raining.

Please god no rain next friday night. :taz:
Foot loose and fancy free.
Looking for adventure and what ever comes our way.
