Post by: davesavvy on March 07, 2005, 06:13:02 PM
Does anyone know if the engine guards off a 1G Bandit fit on a 2G bandit?

You sure about that? I don't know about the Suzuki Accessory ones (now discontinued), but the ones from Holeshot will fit either gen... as long as you don't have the extra motor mounts like the Euro versions have (and 1G Canadian ones).

I did notice the Givi & Renntec bars list different p/n's for the 1G & 2G, but these bars tie into more places than the Holeshot or Suzuki ones.

I second that... as you can see in my avatar pic.

And the NRC covers do fit both Gen's... but the B6 is different from the B12.

I got mine from APE Racing. (http://www.gsxrzone.com/enginecovers.html)
(They've got lots of cool engine stuff for the B6/12.)

I love their plug for 'em:

This street ridden Suzuki Bandit was laid down at low speed on the freeway. It could have been ridden from the scene had it not been for the damaged oem side cover. Not only did the oil leave the engine, but debris from the road went into the engine requiring extensive service before it could be started again. With NRC covers on this bike, this mishap would have been a drive away.
