Post by: snofrog on July 05, 2005, 11:40:12 PM
i want to light up the ditches at night .any advise on a single foglight that will fit +/- in the opening under the headlight ? i like riding at night but have a hard time seeing the edges of the road in the corners as the headlight beam is focused straight ahead with little to the sides when i have it leaned over . Be VERY careful what you put there!

Last person I read about that put a light under there suffered damage when the forks compressed and the fender whacked the light - and it was a long, slim, rectangular light at that.

Romer and I have some on our bikes got the mat AutoZone for like $23.00 its a pair not just one light but nice thing is you can adjusted them left and right to get more light on the sides I'll have to look up the  model # but they are made by pilot and are about 3" wide and  2" thick  so you don't have to worry about fork compression

Here is what I did.  I have about 4K on these lights.  They seem to work well for me.  They light up markings on the road really well, and you could angle them outwards a bit if one desired.
