Don't know until you try it. Probably not a highway setup but could be great around town.

You can compute speed based on gearing but don't place too much emphasis on mathmatical calculations and absolute top speed. Anything over 120 is useless on the street  . Sensable real world street gearing is the objective.

I am going -1 front and +1 rear on my '05 B12- roughly 3.3 gearing. She is a street rod, non commuter bike and is gonna pull like a banshee from 30 to 120 mph, 3rd gear power wheelies are gonna be effortless.

You did not say, B6 or B12. If B6, 520 chain is the way to go. If B12, I would stick with the 530 setup.

Good Luck, Ed.

You may discover this will make the bike faster. Most bikes won't pull max rpm in top gear with stock gearing. Most B12's will go faster with a -1 up front or a +3 in the rear.

A 520 conversion will free up a small amount of drivetrain power loss, but will sacrifice some longevity of the chain and sprockets due to their smaller size. For most Bandit owners, the tradeoff isn't worth it, but if you're doing it for racing purposes and are trying to squeeze every little bit you can, it may be.
