Fox Twin Clicker vs Progessive 420

I am looking to replace the stock shock on my 01 B12S. I am debating between the Fox TC and the Progressive 420. I installed the Fox TC on my wife's ZX6 and it is an awsome shock. The handling and ride quality was much improved on her bike.

Progressive's 420 seems like a good option as well while being about $150 less than the FOX but does not have the remote resivoir and as many adjustment options.

I weigh about 200 lbs. and sometimes ride 2 up with my wife (about 150 lbs.).

I would appreciate comments from anyone using either of these 2 shocks on their B12.

Either are good shocks.   I have the 420, and like it.

I just got off the phone with Fox Racing and was told that the Twin Clicker is no longer available, but that existing owners will be supported for parts and service on existing shocks.

It looks like the Progressive 420 will have to do.

The 420 for the 2G only comes with one spring choice, unless this has just recently changed. It might not be enough if your wife tags along on spirited rides.

OTOH, the OEM Hayabusa shock is a cheap upgrade. They're cheap off of ebay, fully adjustable and rebuildable. I got mine delivered to my door for <$50.

I recently bought a Fox Twin Clicker from a guy on Ebay,  user ID : terry356   ,    and he built the shock for me.  He's a suspension specialist and he told me that he could build one for my friend's Bandit for about $450.   He put the correct spring on for my weight as well .  It's a beautiful piece of equipment  From what he told me he can build a Fox Shock for just about any bike....     Might be worth an inquiry..  Here's my latest email from him:

Gen 1 B12 Shocks are 300MM (11.8") Long with a 64MM (2.5") stroke
Gen 2 B12 Shocks are 320MM (12.6") Long with a 61MM (2.4") stroke
All Hayabusa Shocks are 330MM (13.0") Long with a 72MM (2.8") stroke

The Busa shock will raise the tail of a 2G ~1.2". If you still have the airbox (I don't), you will have to trim a tab off the airbox. I forget the exact weight rating of the Busa & B12 springs, but the Busa's is rated almost twice as heavy.

Second the Penske, and they might be  at a better price. Great shock. My bike feels so nice.
