I think it is time for me to buy some sliders and something to protect the engine in the event of a fall or low side. I have been on e-bay and only found a few items and they are almost always out of the USA, Im not ready to buy these oversea's if I can get them here in the USA. I have read some posts here on our site about finding them on wild hair accesories, but their pricing seems way high. So where does one find a good engine protector that mounts somewhere near the top and bottom of the engine, so 2 per side that costs under a $ 100.00 for all 4? Do I need to look on e-bay for a compatable motorcycle? If so what models are compatable? Looking for bandit sliders and engine protectors on e-bay is a pain, very few results if any.

I was going to make my own(actully with the help of a friend) but never got around to it. I ended up just putting the NRC case covers on,bar ends and bobbins on the swing arm for my rear stand. When I did my lowside in trn4-5,the case covers did their job,the left bar end and the left swing arm did the sliding along with a flat spot on the left fairing and left side cover. Eveything else on the left side was un touched. I had more damage to the right side from running out of track to slide on. When I hit the grass, both the bike and I went flying.

Rizoma makes sliders for the bandit. There are a few others, but they are escaping my thoughts at the moment. I have/had these on my bike for about 2 weeks. They can be used as pegs if you have on pants and boots (don't ask how I know you MUST have on pants :duh: )

I feel your pain, I have looked and looked for a " good deal " on sliders with no luck. I have however found that the LSL crash pads are the sweetest.

I got my sliders for my B6 at Wild Hair. They were kinda expensive as I remember. Rizoma is an Italian manufacturer, (I believe). You could also look as engine guards from Givi, and as mentioned before, NRC covers.

I got SW-MOTECH engine guards. You can find them here: http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productlist/104/
