Title: G1 B12 shock on G1 B6
Post by: chupacabra on March 29, 2006, 08:03:23 AM
jwalters, I installed the shock and have to say thank you, best deal on a shock. The B12 shock feels alot better then the stock B6 shock. I have the preload set on 4 , 7 being the firmest, and its alot stiffer then the stocker on 7. Bike is more stable and rides alot more level. The install took about ten minutes and was very EZ, has to be one of the best mods for a B6. Wish I would have done this a long time ago. I need to add about 1/8 to 1/4 inch to the spacers to tune the Progressive fork springs preload and replace my head bearings , and my suspension and handling will be good to go. I have the bearings just need to get to it.
Thanks again Jesse.

Dave

Somewhere around 30k miles is what jwalters told me. The shock looks good overall. If you can find one go for it. Really improved my ride.
I couldn't find a better price . Thanks Jesse

Here's a picture. I didn't take the time to clean the old B6 shock.
