gsf600 slip on exhaust question
« on: August 15, 2007, 10:44:48 PM »
i've been told by multiple shops that with the bandit, you need both the exhaust can,and a link pipe, but online I've seen countless 'slip on pipes' that do not include a link pipe.

I own a 2002 600 and i know ive seen almost every brand of exhaust out there on bandits, so do these companies include the link pipe and i just didnt notice?

Not to sure about the 2002 model but the stock g1 mid pipe and muffler is all one piece.

The 2G 600 also has a welded mid pipe and can.

You can hacksaw the exisiting muffler off the mid pipe and install a slip-on, but then the old setup is completely lost. Otherwise you will need a midpipe as well as the slip-on muffler.
