Best windscreen for a 1st Gen 1200
« on: March 30, 2006, 09:22:11 PM »
Hey I am looking for a taller windscren for my 2000 bandit. I plan on riding on the interstate at a high rate of speed but want a little more wind protection than the stock one.
I am 6'4 and the stock screen is next to nothing unless you lay on the tank. I have seen the rifle ones but was wondering about buffeting and noise. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have a ZeroGravity ST. I am debating putting the stock back on. It moved the airstream right into my helmet at my chin. I am 6'3 and it keeps the wind off my chest but way too much noise.

I have the 22" Rifle and don't have any problems with it other than I think it destroys the looks of the bike. I've had it up to 120 without any problems.

My buddy put the Zero Gravity sport touring on his and he had to put a strip of Silicone along the seam to prevent any rattling. I just put the stock bars on the bike and now I'm in the market for a sheild myself since I'm 6'1".

Not trying to HiJack your thread, but!I had a bit of a mishap this weekend!

Needing a few parts for my Gen 2 B12's

1 of them being a new windscreen!!

I had a ZeroGravity "Double Buble"acidently broke it trying to Catch the bike!!

Is Bike Bandit the best place to order a replacement???
I noticed they are about $10 cheaper than ordering direct!

Anyone have a left side lowerer fairing for a Gen2 in Blue in excelent shape that wants to sell???
Also need a left mirror, and clutch lever;I might just get the Carbon fiber Look levers for it,anyone have expierience with those???
Do they Look OK,or Cheezy???

I can't think of anyone offering ZG stuff any cheaper - and Bike Bandit gives Bandit Alley a kickback if you order thru the link on the board.

As for your other parts, it's better to start your own thread in the parts wanted section than hijacking a thread... you'll be more likely to get a hit that way. If that comes up blank, keep an eye out on eBay.

That's been the issue I have.  I've had a Rifle and now have a Cheetah SST screen.  Both look kinda funky, but get the windblast off my chest.  Neither were tall enough to get my helmet in clean air, and both created some amount of turbulence.   As it gets warmer, I'm considering putting the stock screen back on.

I got my zg double bubble for $65 from hyperrevmoto.com.  I haven't had time to put it on yet but it looks like it will be a lot better looking than the monster touring shield on there right now.  This guy has great prices and can get everything so if you want his contact it's leo at info@hyperrevmoto.com.
