hayabusa swingarm

Has anyone tried using a haybusa swingarm?  If so, how hard was it and what did you do to make it work?

I have one I was considering trying.  The busa arm is wider at the front and has so far set me on a stool thinking and not cutting.  I would be interested in anyones stories on this topic as well.

Being wider at the front is an easy fix.  Bearings and shock mount is a different story.  Considering that Busa uses a compatible shock, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

By wider at the front I mean like 2 inches wider at the pivot point.  Possible solutions are to cut the cast front section and reweld to the new dimension or spread the frame.  I have not come up with an easier solution yet and welding to the cast aluminum is a little risky.  I am heading towards just adding bracing to my stock unit.  Need a Hayabusa swingarm cheap?

I have used a GSXR 1100 swing arm on my bandit, It is about 3/8 inch wider at the front, I was able to cut an equal amount from each side and used the bandit bearings and spacer. If you can find a gsxr 750 swingarm that is braced, it may work. I have the 89 GSXR 1100 and a 89 gsxr 750
swingarms, but neither are braced.

Don't forget, it isn't just about the swingarm.  You have to worry about the shock mount as well.

I Just bought a 02 gsxr6 and a 07gsxr750 swing arm ill let ya know how close those are to fitting and if there posibble choice

well its not much of a pic but cuz my old lady took my camera outa town but Swing arm powder coated and busa shock intstalled. Took it for a bitchin ride last night in the rain and what an improvement.
