Anyone have a preference? I wish I would have replaced my fork seals back when I upgraded to progressive front springs. Now, 6 months later, I have a leaky front left seal and I am going to have to tear the bike down again! :boohoo: I should have known this would happen the b12 has 34,600 miles on it! Oh well, live and learn.
But anyways, holeshot's fork seals are a bit more expensive, so my question is, are they worth it?
Thanks

I thought Bike Bandit sold Genuine OEM parts...
And Dale says his are better and cheaper than OEM...
The Holeshot Performance Bandit fork seal kit includes high quality fork seals and dust caps at about half the cost of the factory parts. when its time to replace those leaky fork seals or rebuild your front end this seal kit is the ticket.
Remember, his $37.95 price includes two seals and two dust seals.
I don't know what the dealers are charging or what you paid at BB, but that sounds like a pretty decent price to me,

Hi Paul, the fork seals from bikebandit that I was talking about are found here http://bikebandit.com/partsbandit/productlist~section_dept_id~338701~terrain_dept_id~41077~cat_dept_id~1088755~product_dept_id~1092612~selection_Path~3.asp
They are $20 versus $40 for holeshot's. Granted holeshots comes with "dust covers", I was just curious if people had any horror stories with either one of them. I went ahead and ordered the holeshots today anyway.
The $20 difference in price wasn't my main concern, its the product itself. I don't want to have to tear down my front end again in the next 6 months b/c of faulty seals! Anyway, I figured I can't go wrong with holeshot, so I got em! Plus they might send me a fancy sticker I can put on my bike, crossing my fingers about that one!
Thanks Paul

I'd be surprised if he didn't include a sticker. I got stickers when I only ordered oil filters.

Yes!! It's gonna be a good week! I should have some stickers in the mail!

Hi Paul,
Got the holeshot seals installed yesterday, and yes they came with a sticker. I came up with a "poor mans solution" to install the copper bushings after you take the fork tube out of the slider. I went to Ace Hardware, and got a piece of 1.5 inch pvc pipe. This will not fit around the fork tube, but it's close. Cut the pvc down the middle. Then you can squeeze the pvc around the fork tube and it is able to fit into the bushing between the slider. This gives you a solid tap, to bush the bushing and then the seal into place. And since it's pvc, it won't scratch the metal fork. I'll take some pictures if I do it again, and post them with my progressive fork replacement webpage.
