i installed holeshots rearsets and adjusted the shift lever accordingly. now, th kickstand gets in the way of my foot when i upshift. shot of putting the shift lever up into an uncomfortable position, does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

Is it the whole kickstand, or just the piece that sticks out to make deploying the stand easy?
If it's just the little metal rod piece, bend it - or cut it and reweld it to a better location.
I've got NWS jackup plates on mine that move the stock pegs up and back ~1" and don't have any problem with mine, but I guess the Holeshot setup must move the pegs more than that... though I thought the two relocated about the same...

it is the deploy bar on the kickstand, not the kickstand itself.holeshot plates move pegs 1" up and 1" back. problem may be that i'm 6'2" with size 13 dogs.will see if i can relocate it without puttting it where it will hit the ground before the pegs.have you heard of anybody putting an extension on a kickstand? i used some shorter dogbones to raise the rear end and now have a pretty severe lean angle.

I've heard of them being shortened and lengthened, but don't know where there's any pics of the mods.
How much of a tail lift do you have? Mine's lifted about as high as you can go and still have a useable centerstand and it doesn't lean over that much more than stock.
(Better than my trials bike's kickstand, the thing is so long it'll fall over to the right[/u] if you aren't careful where you park.)

I have seen a discussion (with pics) of lengthening and shortening sidestands - I believe in the old ezBoard days of BA. If you feel ambitious and want to fight with the awful search function to find it over there, click here (http://pub12.ezboard.com/bbanditalleybbs). Unfortunately, I don't even remember which forum it was in. IIRC, the old stand was just cut and a new piece was welded in to make a longer stand. Pretty simple, actually.

i used the holeshot links.it raised it about 1.5".i removed the centerstand years ago so cant use that as a reference. it leans over pretty far. not bad parked in my garage, but with summer approaching rapidly here in south fl. the soft blacktop makes me nervous. will try the old forum later today. thanks for the link.

OK,I'll see if I can post yet today. I also have the holeshot rearsets. I cut off dressed it up and had it powder coated.

A Hammer  ! I used a air grinder and a cutting wheel. Then dress it on the grinder. Then touch it up with some paint.
My knees get abit cramped, but it does give me more lean angle. I might putting my GSXR 1100K shock back on. It gives me a little more leg room than the WP,with the extra 1 1/2". Dan

it's not as bad as it sounds. with the kickstand in the down position, i used a dead blow hammer to bend the tab straight down, resulting in it facing aft in the stowed position.works, but ugly. i am running a fox twin-clicker shock and holeshot links. works pretty good for me. will be taking your advice on the right way to mod the kickstand asap. may add an inch while i'm at it.
