Title: I need opinions Banditos!!!
Post by: Banditofdoom on January 25, 2007, 05:32:01 PM: As ive said a few times on these boards, im rebuilding my '01 B12 from the ground up this winter. I have a color dilemma. I am powdercoating/ceramic coating/painting EVERYTHING on the bike black. Unfortunately the RC51 shock i am using has a red spring. I dont have the means to remove it and powdercoat it. Should i let that be the only color on the machine or add red wheel pinstripes to accent it or what?

What sounds the best?

Nah i like black, and im blacking out every possible bit that i can. The various nuts and bolts will be the hardest part.

Or live with the red... or get out the Krylon once every 6 months.

Post by: pmackie on January 26, 2007, 01:56:01 PM: I think a little red "accent" on an all black machine would look great. Red rear spring, red wheel stripes, maybe red hand grips or anodized red levers, some red pinstrip on the tank, maybe red piping on your custom seat. Sounds good!!

Post by: tannerismyhero on January 26, 2007, 08:19:28 PM: I think that the red on the black would really pop. Otherwise you could always paint it. Maybe brush on some of that rubber stuff they put on plyer handles. Just be carefull.

Hey deepink, your bike looks great. I'm just curious, any idea how much weight you took off, or what your bike weighs now?

I am going to weigh next saturday. I get that questions alot and hate not having the answer. So I'll post up then.
