Post by: its840 on May 16, 2006, 03:45:02 AM
hello there i had a quick q about jet kits. i was reading about ivan and banditbike jet kits. they both (if im understanding this correct) come with orig jet sizes but with an adjustable needle?  did i miss understand this? also whats the scoop on dynojet i havent found much about there kits.  as far as modifications go. i will have a slip on here in about 2 weeks, and thats about it. bike currently has k&n filter but thinking about going  with 4 pod filters.  but im wanting to jet it too.  but im a lil lost with the companys. thanks

dynojet seems to be a problem with the bandit
K&N is a dynojet

stick with holeshot or ivan's

Holeshot, Ivan's, or Factory Pro... not K&N or Dynojet

The only thing I can add to what's been said:

All of the ones recommended use genuine Mikuni parts, but the sizes of the jets are not stock. The Holeshot Stage I kits do not come with new needles, but shim the OEM ones.

Dynojet/K&N do not use Mikuni jets, but DJ's own jets which fit in DJ emulsion tubes.

IIRC, Ivan's doesn't have a kit for the 1G B6, does he?

If that's the case, I'd recommend Holeshot's Stage I.

In the case of the B6 kits, susitute Keihin for Mikuni in everything above.
DJ still uses their own special jets.
