Title: Lowering links?
Post by: Johnny Strommer on April 16, 2005, 01:49:21 PM
New member here,
I ride a V-Strom 1000, hence the moniker, but my wife just purchased a 2002 Bandit 600 .  She can certainly reach the ground, but not completely flat-footed.  I therefore want to get some lowering links or dogbones for her.  Does anyone have impressions of the Holeshot links?  They say they lower up to 2", but this seems a bit extreme, we want more like 1".

If I lower the rear by 1", what's a good number to lower the triple clamps up front?

You can also make your own links to raise or lower the bike however much you want. We have a thread on that in the 600/1200 FAQ, or just click here. (http://forums.banditalley.net/viewtopic.php?t=199)
Title: lower link question

I was reading the DIY for lowering or raising the rear with dog bones. How much does a 1/4" difference lower or raise the rear?
