Was wondering if any one could suggest something that would give me the heli bar feel but that costed less then 350.00 for a set of bars. Has any one tried to make bars?

The Heli bars for the B6/12 are adjustable to many positions. I'm not aware of anything that offers anything like it for any significant savings.
ConvertiBars offers something similar to Heli, but they're still ~$300.

If you want a single position bar, and you know what you want, there are LOTS of tubular bars out there from several companies with prices as low as ~$20.

I have looked at many popular online motorcycle parts houses with no luck. Plenty for dirt bikes. Who makes good street bars?

so out of all of those on that site, which one would have the sportiest feel to it? Did you have to do something diffrent with your controls and fluids on the bars?

The "A. Clubman" would be the sportiest, but I don't know if they're wide enough in the center to fit a B12 and even if they are, would probably be too low on the "S" model bikes.

The "D. Drag Bar" is probably the sportiest bar you can put on a "S" model. I know these will work, I've seen them on several B6's & B12's and will give you about the same position as an above the triple clamp style clip-on, such as those used on Katanas. This bar wouldn't require any alterations to brake lines, wires or cables either.

Those are excellent prices! And AZ Motorsports is a reliable outfit from what I've read, though I've never bought from them.

I was wondering about the holeshot handlebar. Has anyone tried this one? http://www.holeshot.com/old/Bandit/bndt_bars.html

How hard is the drilling / install. I've never messed with bars before, but I believe this is something I would love.

I need to raise my bars an inch or so as many others have posted. I've read all the threads I could find on bars, and it seems I could do that cheaply with risers, but could probably find a 1G Bandit bar even cheaper. I've measured my bars, and I come up with a 1.5" rise at center, 2.25" rise at bar end, and 4.5" pullback on a stock 2G Bandit bar. Does that sound right to anybody? . Anyone know the rise at center and end and pullback for 1G bars?

JCW lists risers in 2" up to 6" for $50.
Has anyone tried them?
They are for 1" bars - is that what the bandit has?
How high can you go before you need to fool with new cables and hoses?

I am tempted to give it a try since JCW is easy about accepting returns.

Saw them on a Bandit and thought I'd give 'em a try for $16

I got a set of dragbars after my last post here. They work allright. There were just a couple of things that I had a little trouble with. When I was putting on my controls, they would not tighten down to the point that they wouldnt slide around. I would put the choke on or at least try to and move the whole control...What I did was just a once around the bar with some electrical tape and it was fine. The other thing is that when the fluids were mounted back on the bar they seemed to sit on top of...shoot is that the triple tree on top of the bars? I donno exactly what its called but they were sitting on there, I am not worried as the hose isn't kinked or pushed in any way, but they are definately sittin on it.
P.S. I really like the feel on the bandit....I have an S model that I turned into a naked bike.
