Does anyone have any good ideas for a 600 motor swap? or does anyone know if a 1200 motor will fit in a 600 frame?

The 748 & 749 motors bolt right in and the 1052 GSXR, 1127 GSXR & Katana & 1157 (B12) supposedly do to, but the 600 has a different frame that's not as strong as the 1200's (and smaller forks, weaker brakes, smaller rear wheel, etc.) and given the price difference between buying a B12 or buying a B6 and converting it, it just doesn't seem to get done.
Unless you have a line on a dirt cheap (or free) motor, the best bet is to sell the B6 and buy a B12.
The 750 swaps have been done by several (there's even a 750 converted B6 in the for sale section). IMHO, it's still a better deal to sell the 6 and buy a 12.

Thanks for the reply. I already have one 1200, the 600 is a "see how fast we can get it to go" type of project. If you know what years 750 motors to look for, I would appreciate it. :thanks:

1985 to 1991 GSXR750 & 1989 GSXR750R (aka RR, double-R). '88 & '89 GSXR750's models are short-stroke. Others are long-stroke (including the '89 RR). The '89 RR model has the most OEM power... and is also rare since it was a homologation special. At $20,000, it cost more than double what the standard GSXR cost. Due to slow sales it was later reduced to a mere $5000 premium. It cranked out 120hp (@ crank) compared to the standard '89's 112, early long stroke's 100 and the '90-'91's 116. The RR has the best head (and works well on the bigger motors, too), a dry clutch (hard to find parts for now and $$$ when you do), and plenty of other exotic pieces not found on any of the others.
1988-2005 GSX750F Katana. Not in as high a state of tune as the GSXR. All are long stroke.
Non-US models: GSF750 Bandit & GSX750 Inazuma

It's a wild video... but I thought it was a GSXR1100 motor.

that's neat , could I borrow it? I think my son could use it on his paper route.

Yeah, I think you're right. They claim 113hp, so either way...
