Got a used Corbin G&L seat on Ebay for $150 shipped... and a like-new backrest for $50 shipped. I got the seat today, it's in great shape and has the carbon-fiber-look covering.
I was surprised how well it fits. The only hardware that I needed to swap was the latch bracket. The wife is pretty happy now I have a backrest for her.
We've got a snowstorm here in Chicago... so no testing it out for awhile.

Hell of a deal Paul. Looks good on the bike too. :congrats:

I paid double that last year for a used seat and backrest. I mainly wanted the backrest, but I found it more comfortable than stock. It probably doubles my seat time before needing a break. I wish it didn't lower the seating position, but I can live with that so far.
I like being able to take it off when not needed. It also makes a good backstop for strapping down a bag, or a better place to secure something on my rack.

:congrats: on the helluva good deal!! :beers:

Looks good Paul. If you want to send it down to me in Georgia I am sure I could field test it for you and give you a review before the spring thaw. Sounds like you got a sweet deal.

I'm looking foward to take the wife for a spin w/ the new to me gunfighter & lady too. Temps are in the low teens and the snow is falling. But it must be coming (spring) soon, starting to see some geese back in some cut corn fields.
