nice, you got some good genes ;) .. i got the fairing from ebay, don't think it had any name, just searched for streetfighter headlight... It was cheap though...

I wonder if Yamaha guys ever graft GSXR tail sections on FZ1s?????
-
how difficult was that tail section?
-
Doch -
Your tail section would require a lot more work than that one. The pre '01 rear subframes are very different from yours. That's why you see so many people putting just about any rearend on the older bandits. I saw an MV rear end on a 99 bandit and it was insane.
Our year Bandits pretty much require a complete removal (via saw) to mount any other rear end.
Someone else please correct me if I'm wrong here. But I took a good look around the net, and don't see many Bandits with their original subframe if they have another bikes rear plastic.
There is a post of mine elsewhere in this section.
Gotta say again though - me likey the mod on this thread. Especially the height of that pipe.

I used the original subrame on the bandit, just had to chop off all the bits on the side and about 10" of the rear... But it wasnt to much work, rearlight and cover under the light was the most work, had to fabricate it out of fiberglass... But, came out good though... Thanks for the compliments..!

Thanks Deep... my mind can space out occasionaly... it was late last night. :duh:

:congrats: Nicely done! :beers: :bigok:

Dude, how did you fix the rider and pillion seats. I've grafted the same R1 back end on to my 97B6 and everything else is secured apart from the seats. Can you still get the seats off to get at the wiring etc. or have you "glued" them down?
Many thanks.

update, put some graphics on the bike..
About the seat, the rear seat is from ebay, the front seat i made myself.. it's made to come off, so its no problem to get to any of the wiring and so on...

Very nice job...the suzuki graphic on the back wheel looks very cool! Goes without saying that the rest of the bike looks top notch!
Too bad you guys have to ride with those HUGE tags in Norway!! :duh:

sweet :bigok:

Wow. That is a nice bike. You should be most proud.
You mentioned waiting for a digital speedo. Where are you getting it from? I have one from banditmania, but I've not been able to figure out the speedo wiring...
