My 009 front has over 8k on it and it looks like it will go another 8, the rear's will go 7500 where all others i've used was scary bald @ 5k!! Hope they aren't watching these post's they will up the price....    :beers:

HEY chevsuz12 How hard was it too remove the powder coat and polish your wheels and would you still do it, if you had to do it over again?   :bigok:

Christ Mick, you're making it hard for me NOT to try these on the B12.  Ok you've convinced me, when the Metzlers wear out (about another 5000km on the rear and shyte loads more on the front) I'm fitting the Shinkos.  Maybe a 009 on the rear and a 005 on the front - I like a softer front tyre.

Hey, Daytona!

Just looked at your link for your bike pic.  That is one major chicken strip you've got there.    You must work on laying that bike over! :beers:

What's funny is when I had the BT10/14's on I had about 1/16" chicken strip on the rear and about 3/4" on the front.  With the 009's I barely    have about 1/4" on each.  So there is definately a different profile with these tires.

Yep! I know what you are saying. This one is a 190 and is even worse than the 180 for looking new where the strips are and worn out in the middle. Good old flat, straight FL for ya.. The left side looks a bit better. I hear you folks talking rides in the hills, canyons, twisties etc. Down here where i ride every day i work on my bike's (home from work tonight1 am with a long sleeve shirt) i can't seem to find anyone to chum with! I'll work on it though! and btway these tires are worth a try, 005 front 009 for the rear.. My 009 front is on its second rear and still has 5/32,s in the middle!     :beers:

With the rear 005 on the Rex, now with 6 thousand k's on it I can say yes it grips, sure as hell grips. 130hp sure gives it a hard time, it has only let loose once under extreme torment mind you, its just over half way worn. Its had to deal with, yes me, but some pretty extreme heat, and we all know that heat is the single biggest factor, next to me off course, in the distruction and wear of tyres. So, I guess I'm happy so far, but I think I'll try the 009 rear next time round. Kinda used to getting around 25 thousand k's outta 009's on the B6.

Hey if you like changing tires in sets get the 005 front with the 009 rear! Almost 9k miles and 2 rears and the 009 front is still @ 4/5 32nds!!! No cupping never slips like most cheaper tires, or even some not tooo cheap! I've worn out.. !      :duh:  :monkeymoon:  :stickpoke:  :crackattack:    :beers:

Hey any one know what is going on with the Shinko price? These folk http://store.azmusa.com/shink.html have gone up $40 or so just like that per tire! They got the word and are getting greedy. Oil can't be blamed 4 that kind of inc!

I think the more expensive page you looked at doesn't reflect the sale price they have going... if you probably ordered them you'd get the cheaper price.

Whew!!!  :duh:  Yep i guess i jumped the gun. I was going to order a set 120/190's but? maybe bigger was better? a 200 for the rear. The 006 is the step up with a 200 offered but i need all the wear resistance i can get for this behemoth! How are your 006's holding up? Wear wise?   :beers:

I'm pretty easy on tires... I want grippy tires so I can be confident... not because I'm a great sport-rider.  That being said, I have about 1000 miles on them and they show almost no wear yet.  I am 100% satisfied with them... but if they don't last 4000 miles I'll probably go to the Metz Z6 or Pirelli Strada next.

I don't think you can even mount a 200 tire on the rear, can you  :?:

Yep with no prob. The 200 003 dimpled slick is what most use for the 1/4 on the busa! The Bigger is better syndrome!!!!  :duh: I'll just stay with the 009's if they work as good on this one as they did on the Bandit whats not to like! Keep up the posts on how they treat ya!  :beers:  :bigok:
