Title: Pick up knobs
Post by: RUSS M8 on June 18, 2005, 06:15:48 AM
I was not aware that I could put "pick up knobs" (for a race stand) on my '96 B12, but today someone pointed out a small hole on the underside of the swingarm, can i make something up, or preferably is there a kit for mounting pick up knobs to the swingam?
I don't want to just slap some metal on there coz the rest of the bike is so clean at the moment!

I'm not real familar with the B12's but you should be able to buy spools for the swingarm that just thread in. The thing is then you will a rear stand that lifts the bike from the spools rather then the standard paddles that lift from under the swingarm. You should also be able to get sliders (PVC, in case of a get off) that mount in the same spot.

most paddock stands come with both the flat mounts for holding the swingarm and a set of hooks for grabbing the spools/bobbins.

Yeah I could just use the flat plates under the swingarm, but I prefer the knobs.  I just thought that the number of hoons that ride Bandits and the number that have been raced there would probably be a kit available?
