« on: April 18, 2010, 07:15:02 PM »
Anyone know if rear shock for a 2001 B12 (Works performance) will fit a 99?
Found one on e-bay....good price too.

Yes, but it's longer than yours.

How much may I ask? I have a Works Performance shock on my 98.I had it rebuilt a couple of years ago after using it for awhile.(@ motocd.com) Is it the one with the adjustable ride hight? Mine is not,it is a desent shock though, I paid around $500 for it when it was new. I'm not sure how much longer the one for the 2nd generation is. Mine keeps the stock ride hight, and I have different linkage bones that I had made up if I want to raise the rear ride hight for more ground clearence. But I have the stock on at the moment.  Good luck, Dan

I don't recall exactly how much.  IIRC, it'll lift the tail about as much as a set of lifting dogbones (~1.5" +/- 0.25").  There's a chart in one of the shock threads in here somewhere and it might have the lengths of the two gens in it.
