Rear foot peg mod on 1250 abs
« on: September 25, 2007, 08:50:21 PM »
My wife complained about the lack of leg room since she is 5'9 so I removed the right side foot peg bracket and put it on the left side and vice-versa then I took each peg and swapped them around (becareful of the spring-loaded bearing when doing this part) and made a bracket for the muffler .The gain was well worth now all she complains about is my speed[/img]

With the swap of the peg brackets, now the brackets are "pointing" forward and the pegs are located lower and more forward of where it were stock.

If you let the stock pegs follow the stock bracket.  The pegs are now folding forward.  What does swapping the pegs do?  Allow it to swing in the rear direction?

Does the passenger toe hit the rider's calf?

How did you handle the muffler mount?  It was bolted to the stock right bracket.

Love to see photos, with the rider and passenger feets on the pegs.
