Title: rear height...
Post by: mademiriam on September 28, 2009, 11:47:48 PM
With the Hayabusa rear shock and front forks... I'm thinking I would like to lower the rear ride height. Mine has never really been stock, I was hoping one of you would be able to measure from the ground to some 'solid' part on the tail section (like the rearset mounts...or the like) to give me an idea how far off from stock I am. I know I'd be far off, and I don't think I want to go stock just would like to get an idea, before I start making lowering links.

To help with a couple of variables (like tire height / wear), it may help to measure a bike with a stock shock, preload set to 4, from the center (or top) of the rear axle to the bottom of the rail under the sub-frame.  (I'd measure mine, but the shock is from a GSX-R.)

37 1/8" (+/-1/8") from the ground to the top of the rear tail.  New tire.
