Being a cheap-a$$, I'm thinking about shortening my rear signals so they fit a little tighter to the fender (as opposed to shelling out a whole $26, or whatever the flush mount afty-markets cost). The reason: I have Cortech sport bags that tend to sit on, or at least rub against the signals.
Here's what I had in mind. Basically, cut the plastic, slide off the excess, and ...well, I'm sure this crap picture will be worth a few words:

Any opinions out there?

My opinion is don't be a cheap ass! :stickpoke:
I suppose an opoxy of some kind could hold those blinkers in place. That rear fender is dirt cheap, so you don't have much to loose if you want to try it. But, if I come in to work next week, and notice my rear fender is missing, I'll know where to look!
