red01..actually I hope to pick one up this winter.

The FZ1 is going to my son. Suits him more. He's 28, and loves riding it. I thought the FZ1 would be a good sport-touring bike which is why I bought it, but for some reason it just doesn't suit me.So I found an old Nighthawk 750. Fits me better but lacks oomph I'm used to from years of riding literbikes, and it's only rated at carrying 351 pounds which my wife and I exceed. The new Bandit sounds like it will more closely fit my relaxed (old guy), 2 up riding style, with plenty of oomph and it's rated at something like 490 pounds carrying capacity which will accomodate both of us plus give us plenty of cushion for luggage and stuff.

No it is in the pic covered up against the wall behind the GSX-R1000. It has not seen daylight in 5 years many things have started going wrong and leaking out of her, I am ashamed to have let her be so neglected. She was a powerhouse in her day.

EDIT: I found a pic on PC of the old girl. Pic was taken in 2001, not much has changed since then except she has a dead battery and the brake calipers are locked up as well as the fork seals are puking oil. She has 42,xxx miles on her original engine and one clutch.

It must suck to be you. Which one to ride today? Not enough numbers on a dice.  :congrats:  Nice problem to have. But I'll bet the bandit gets most the mileage.
