Title: RevPack
Post by: Ray Mooney on August 08, 2008, 02:52:48 PM
Anybody know if these will fit on a B1250 without impacting the pipe? http://www.revpack.com/motorcycle/products/SaddlePack.html (http://www.revpack.com/motorcycle/products/SaddlePack.html)

The website says they'll even fit sport bikes. Anybody got any experience?

No experience with these soft bags, but most soft and hard bags will have clearance to the stock pipe. Some aftermarket pipes are swept up for more clearance and could be a concern.

These bags don't appear to be any larger than my Kappa hard bags, but it depends on how they hang down from the seat.

If you have that big stock can on the 1250 then I would say they would not fit. I would also be concerned that they do not appear to have heat shields on the bottoms. If it did clear the pipe I bet it would be close enough to possibly catch fire from the exhaust.

For that price, you can get good sport bike bags with heat shields that would fit properly.

I'm not sure sport bike bags would hold enough. I'm planning a cross-country trip, but I have no interest in hard bags.

These are like mine and it is amazing how much they hold. I also have a magnetic tank bag that holds a ton.

I have th rev pack standard bags. They do not fit on my 2001 1200s. The stock muffler interferes. On my Bandit I use RKA bags which are ony 11 in. tall.
