Title: Salvage parts.

I have heard that Gen 1 600 body parts and G1 1200  parts are identical.  Any truth?  I am looking for windscreen options for my '99 600 and there seems to be a few more around for the 1200.

The windshields are the same. What are you looking for in a windshield?

The windshields are the same, so are the seats.

BIG difference in the bodywork though...

The 1200 comes in different colors than the 600 and has "1200S" decals on it. The gas tanks on the 1200 have a fuel level gauge provisions.
