Hi Guys:
Sorry to start a new thread on this, BUT, my local long time Suzuki parts guys highly suggested I look at Sargent seats for a replacement for the stock animal instead of Corbin. He was not impressed with Corbin's quality and time to market lately and pointed me in this direction.
Go to this site http://www.sargentcycle.com/suzuki.htm
On this page you will find a lonk to "pre-register" for the Bandit 1250 seat available sometime soon. They claim this pre-registering gets you special no-obligation pricing, but that is yet to be seen.
I do not work for them, or anything attached to them, or even pretend to endorse them - I am only going by my local Suzuki dude's recommendation.
So, there ya go.
Anyone have any Sargent Cycle experience???
See ya - Phil

Glad you are digging into this Phil...I am really looking forward to getting a sweet, comfortable seat.
-
PeteSC, the site's former owner, had his 1G seat reworked by Sargent and raved about it.
-
I just can't fathom why it takes a year to get a seat built.
-
Most of the seat vendors are in the US and the US didn't have any '06 Bandits to work with.
You may be able to find something across the pond in EU. I remember seeing 3G B650 seats for sale in one of the vendor booths when I went to Bol d'Or in France last year.
-
thanks Red- any links? I know-- I'm lazy.
-
I don't remember any of the brand names of seat products from over there, sorry. They did have some cool looking Bandit seats though... you could get them with the Bandit logo, like on this JMV fairing photo:

I seem to recall registering with them some time ago and have heard nothing. For all I know, a product is still several months away.

I registered with them about a month or so a go and have not heard anything back on the new B1250 Seat.

EXACTLY

I had a Sargent seat on my VFR. They're great, quality seats!

The Sargent site says:
The Suzuki Bandit World Sport Performance Seat is in the early stages of Research & Development. A tentative release date is scheduled for Spring 2008 (as of May 2007).
Spring 2008 !!! I might have changed bikes by then...
