Within each generation, the seats are the same.
1G B12 fits 1G B6 & vice versa
2G B12 fits 2G B6 & vice versa
3G B12 fits 3G B6.5 & vice versa (and also fits the 1250 & 650 watercooled)

My question is, is the 2005 1200 a 3G or a 2G? Corbin has a seat for the 2005 1200, and I'd love to get the rock off of my 2007 650. If it's 3G I'm gold, but if it's 2G I'm screwed.
My cousin has a 2005 650, and our seats swap out fine. I just want to be 100% positive that the 2005 1200 is indeed the 3G seat.
I'd look kinda funny sitting on my Corbin at work cause I couldn't get it on my bike!
Thanks

In 2005, the 650 was in the 1st year of the 3G.
Unfortunately for you, 2005 is the last year of the 1200 being a 2G.

Boo, but at the same time awesome. That was exactly the information I was looking for. The search continues to find a seat of comfort :(

There's a :crackattack: load of seat modification specialists out there. Possibly something local so you don't have a lengthy down-time. A few of the more popular ones:
Sargent Cycle Products (http://www.sargentcycle.com/)
Bill Mayer Saddles (http://billmayersaddles.com/october25homepage.html)
Rick Mayer Cycle (http://www.homestead.com/prosites-rmcycle/index.html)
Rich's Custom seats (http://www.richscustomseats.com/)[/list]

Thanks again! I noticed that Sargent has a pre-registration for a seat they are making for the 1250 too. So I should be good there. Maybe I'll just get a pad to get me through the summer.
I really wish they'd put a little more R&D into the seats, but so far that is my only complaint about the new Bandit.
Thanks for your input. It's been most helpful.

Too bad Sargent doesn't plan on having the 1250 seat until NEXT year.
