Title: Single-sided swingarm

This may well fit onto the suzuki standard older style bandit frame, not just their own, and I'm not sure if suzuki changed the mounting or the swingarm on the newer style.. depending which style you wanted to do this mod to.
Could be worth looking into if that's the route you want.

(There's no mention of selling the arm alone)
Then you've still gotta come up with a SSSA style wheel!

Then yeah, you would have to source your own wheel.. maybe spondon can help with that too though? hehe.

Just because it's an option, doesn't mean they'd be willing to sell it separately.

Well the origin's of this thread are asking about a single sided swingarm, and you won't find out if it's sold seperately unless the question is asked, which is for whoever wants to, to do. No point trying to argue the situation with me, facts and ideas have been presented and that's that. :P

Post by: stian on September 04, 2005, 05:04:50 PM: I hear many people use Ducati single's and honda VFR 750 < it's not exactly bolt on, but it should'nt be the worst thing to fit the b12 or the b6, im going to try this my self in a couple of months, so if anyone know someone that have done this, i'd really like to talk to them... just to know just how much work and time it took...

Ducati and VFR swinarms could be found on ebay for a reasonable price, and you get the 5,5" or 6" rim too, which is pretty neat...
I live in norway and i got an offer on a VFR 750 swingarm with all parts, wheel, brake, + + for 6000 NOK, = 400$ i think...

Post by: lsmcspaul on September 25, 2005, 04:40:31 PM: The reason I asked for help is I have put a VFR750 Single sider in my bandit. I took 5mm off the inner left side of my frame and the arm slotted straight in and the sprockets lined up perfectly!!! BUT the wheel was 8.5mm out of line (to much to the right if sat on bike) now I thought take it off the wheel!!! BUT you can't because the wheel studs would then just pull straight through!!!! Then I thought move the swingarm more to the left and just step the front sprocket but the chain would then catch on the frame!!! then I was told use a triumph wheel and hub assembly cause you can take more off the triumph wheel.... Well you can use the wheel and hub in the VFR arm (I bought a comp triumph back end)!!! BUT (again) The rear wheel on the triumph is now 17mm to much to the right and if you take it off the triumph wheel the rim touches the swingarm!!!! Triumph back end and VFR and I still cant work it out!!! Someone must know how to do it, Ive seen a few of these done now in streetfighters magazine. :sad: http://www.landsmotorcycles.co.uk/PICT0241.JPG
