Need a new rear tire. A friend has put smaller size tires on bikes(lowered 1/2" if my memory is correct) Any thoughts on this?

Is there some reason you want to lower your bike?
Some stuff you may have to worry about....sidestand not right length, and stuff dragging in the twisties a little faster.....

Yes, well I am a little vertically challenged. Trying not to change the dogbones(have them already) for the reasons you mentioned. I have cut the seat already and the more I wait, the more I get use to the reach.

Anyway, I went ahead and ordered the Pilot Roads today from Dennis Kirk.

Thanks( I believe RED01) for his matching information about Dennis Kirk. They matched Chapperal(who couldn't get them here as fast)

I hope these do better than the OEM's. Bike has 5000 miles on it and today I noticed thread showing through on the rear.Somehow, I missed the wear bars. I am just glad that I noticed it before I found out the HARD way.
