I sent my items to paint last week and they came back friday. My Bud, Jay, picked them up and put it all together for me. Man I owe him a million for all the work he has done personally without me, and letting me be his helper while this project went on. Overall - not bad for first timers to a mod this drastic. Still waiting on rearset overseas - but basically done. Let me and him know what you think.
Also - thanks to MrBAMcClain on the forum for the great replacement tank he had - just waiting for me to take off his hands. Here it is in black.

In case you were wondering what brought all this change on.

       Nice work!!!!!
Too bad you'll have to muck it up with a license plate and inspection sticker. BTW... What's the scoop on the red chain??
Again.... :congrats: on the rising of the phoenix!!
-
Just wanted to put a little color somewhere on the bike. Thought the chain would look really cool while running - like 2 red lines above and below the swingarm.
I'll just have to keep it real clean.
-
I'm glad I had some part in the building of this great looking bike
Turned out great dude.... :beers: Now get out and ride it till the wheels fall off :congrats:

Soooooo... does it come in blue??????
-
RK (maybe some others) offers chain in a host of colors.
Yes, blue is one of them.

Yep - It Do! - I am sure your local guy can get it, but I can give you the number of the guy I get parts from, if you want it.
-
OOooohhh!! This bike is Beautiful!!! Name your price!
This is just perfect...[sigh] i can look at it all day!!
-
Looking pretty nice. How does it ride with the mods(comfort, handling)?
BTW, I would love to see some pics of it with a scenic background. It looks like a perfect candidate for some scenic shots.
-
dude that is so sweeeeet!
-
BaaaaadAaaaaaass :congrats: :beers:
-
Where's the battery and related electronics?
-
There is no battery. Just kidding!.
I used an R1 battery - because it is smaller. All the electronics are in a similar position as the Bandit's original spot. Under the rear seat towards the middle of the tail section.
But it is def. a smaller battery.
-
That bike kicks ass.
What did you hit when you wrecked it?????? Looks painful.
-
The asphalt and a bunch big rocks. But she has been revived.
-
"What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger"
"What gets rebuilt, repainted and modded all to hell makes others jealous"
The first quote is my own paraphrase, the second one is dedicated to guys like you and your buddy that have turned adversity (accident) into nothing short of a piece of art on two wheels.
Makes me wanna go out and wreck my 12....NOT!!!
Nice work man! :congrats:
-
does the rear end norm stand that tall on a B12?/ or did you use a jack-upkit? or was it frame mods to make the rear end stick up like that. thanks
-
Looks great! What shock is that you have on? Have you had a chace to find or work out any bugs, as far as how she handles. Definatly a nice clean look. Well done!
-
Great looking street fighter. So many riders now try to buy a street fighter, they seem to forget half the idea of a true street fighter is a bike that you personalized yourself. Great job!!!

Which shock do you mean the rear (Honda Rc51)
or the front (94 gsxr).
Either way - I guess I answered that question, huh?
Front shocks are going to get new seals, and then it's ready to go. Will let you know how she rides.
-
That bike is pure sex. I would love to konw the parts list on the front forks conversion I have wanted to do that for a while.
I you would be gracios enough to send it to me that would kick butt. Loave the color too.

Dizzzam! Your bike rocks. You should wright a bit "how to". There are so many mods here...the tail, the inverted forks, the handle bars, the windshield, the lights.
I've looked at Streetfighters for a long time, yours is the first that is really cool, and doesn't look like an insect.

Paint came out nice, like the front end also.
One question though, why do you have the bars canted back so far. Is it to clear the masters on the gauges or is that how you prefer them? Do you have tank clearance when going full lock-to-lock?
Ride On, Ed.
-
nice piece of work, now you have the bandit/r1 style
-
Where did you get your sick air filters at?
-
Those are just K&N Pods. you can get them from Dale or most shops by order.
